WHY BRONZEVILLE?
Crime fiction opened my eyes to how much of the literary world was still missing genuine, intersectional voices—and it also revealed an opportunity to bring those voices straight to readers. Instead of limiting myself to the traditional routes, I tapped into my family’s longstanding logistics, transportation, and warehousing roots, seamlessly blending that expertise with my technology and business development background. The result was Bronzeville: a publishing venture and distribution engine named after the neighborhood that shaped me. By staying focused on connecting with readers in LMI areas and beyond, we’ve created a genuinely independent supply chain for books—one that doesn’t rely on gatekeepers to find its audience. Now celebrating its sixth year, Bronzeville continues to prove that when passion, community, and resourcefulness intersect, stories flourish on their own terms and reach the people who need them most.
